Foundation of Muslim League (1906)
➮ Muslim League setup in 1906 under the leadership of Aga Khan, Nawab Salimullah of Dhaka and Nawab Mohsin-ul-mulk.
➮ Vakar-ul-mulk was the first president of Muslim League.
The objective of the Muslim league :
(i) To promote among Indian Muslims a feeling of loyalty towards the British Government.
(ii) To protect the political and other rights of Indian Muslims and to place their needs and aspirations before the Government intemperate language.
(iii) The formation of the Muslim League was a great success of the British Government and his policy of ‘Divide & Rule
